Our produce does not come from an anonymous wholesale market. It comes from farms and greenhouses we know, that we visit, and with which we sign a charter.
Where your produce comes from
Three growing basins, chosen for their water, their soils and the skill of the growers who work them.
The Niayes
The market-gardening belt between Dakar and Saint-Louis. Sandy soils, a shallow water table and an ocean-tempered climate: this is Senegal’s garden. Most of our tomatoes, lettuce and cucumbers come from here.
The river valley
Irrigated land and steady yields all year round. Here we work with greenhouse farms, supported technically by Sunumbaye.
The Sangalkam area
East of Dakar, farms close to the sorting centre: only a few hours between harvest and packing your order.
A charter, and visits
Every partner grower signs a production charter before joining the network:
- No banned pesticides, pre-harvest intervals respected
- Measured irrigation and soil rotation
- Batch traceability, from field to crate
- Payment agreed in writing before the harvest
We visit regularly and check every batch on arrival. A non-compliant batch is refused, never repacked.
