Privacy Policy
SunuAchat never asks for banking data and never resells your information. Here, in plain terms, is what we collect and why.
1. Who processes your data
The data controller is SunuAchat, the food marketplace of the Sunumbaye Leading Innovation group, whose registered office is at Exit 9, Rufisque, behind the EYDON service station, Senegal.

2. No banking data
SunuAchat operates exclusively on cash on delivery. The site has no online payment form and collects no card number, no security code and no bank account details.
None of our emails, SMS or WhatsApp messages will ever ask you for this information. Any such request is fraudulent and should be reported to us.
3. Data we collect
When you order: first and last name, phone number, delivery address, possibly an email address, plus the content and history of your orders.
When you create an account: username, email address, encrypted password and the preferences you save.
When you write to us: the content of your message and the contact details you include.
Automatically: technical browsing data (IP address, device type, pages viewed), used in aggregated form to measure audience and keep the site secure.
4. Why we use it
- To prepare, confirm and deliver your orders.
- To reach you if there is a question about a delivery.
- To manage your customer account and order history.
- To answer your messages and handle claims.
- To improve the site, its performance and its catalogue.
- To meet our accounting and legal obligations.
We only use your data for marketing purposes if you have expressly consented, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.
5. Legal basis
Processing is based on performance of the sales contract (orders and deliveries), on your consent (customer account, optional communications), on our legitimate interest (security and service improvement) and on our legal obligations.
This processing falls within the framework of Act No. 2008-12 of 25 January 2008 on the protection of personal data in Senegal.
6. Who can access it
Your data is accessible only to the SunuAchat staff who need it, and to our delivery agents for the information strictly required to deliver (name, phone, address).
Our technical providers (hosting, email, audience measurement) access it only to carry out their task and are bound by confidentiality.
We do not sell, rent or exchange your data with anyone.
7. How long we keep it
- Order data: three years after the last order, then accounting archiving as required by law.
- Customer account: as long as the account is active, then twelve months.
- Contact form messages: twelve months.
- Browsing data: thirteen months maximum.
8. Cookies
The site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work (session, basket, language preference), which cannot be disabled, and audience-measurement cookies intended to understand how the site is used.
Our advertising slots are ethical: they do not carry out intrusive behavioural tracking. You may delete cookies at any time from your browser settings.
9. Security
The site is served entirely over HTTPS. Passwords are stored in encrypted form and are never readable by our staff. Access to the administration area is restricted and logged, and regular backups are taken.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to and restrict the processing of your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent.
To exercise them, write to contact@sunuachat.com or call +221 78 877 26 26: we reply within thirty days. You may also refer the matter to Senegal’s Personal Data Protection Commission (CDP).
11. Minors
The site is not intended for people under eighteen and we do not knowingly collect their data. Should such data reach us, it would be deleted upon notification.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect a change in the service or in the regulations. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page; any substantial change will be signalled on the site.
